The Northern Territory Secure Facilities project encompasses a number of centres within the one precinct. The project includes secure facilities that consist of 800 multi classification men's and women's prison, all associated accommodation and industries infrastructure, secure perimeter fencing and other ancillary facilities.

Minmetals were responsible for the fabrication and delivery of structural steel modularized for ease of construction. There were in excess of 10,000 fabricated pieces that were each coordinated with the construction sequence, significantly reducing time on site. Positive feedback received on site regarding material whereby the general consensus was that the quality was superior to locally supplied content
