The potable water network extends from the Thompson Dam in the rural east of Victoria to Werribee in the West. It incorporates dams, reservoirs, pipes and water treatment facilities.
The waste water network includes two key facilities: one in Werribee and the other in Carrum, west and east of Melbourne respectively.Minmetals Australia was the chosen partner for the largest diameter steel cement lined pipe brought into Australia at 1780mm in diameter.
The purpose of the WRA is to complete a series of works, augmenting the capacity of the overall network and improving the certainty in delivery of these essential services to the people of Victoria.
This is achieved through the delivery of over 100 individual projects collectively valued at over $600M, and delivered over a 5 year period.
